About Me

I was a first-generation college student. In 1999, I received a bachelor's degree from Middlebury College, in Vermont. At Middlebury, I majored in psychology and sociology and received a high school social studies teaching credential. After college, I worked in the field of social work, then in education, working with at-risk youth. In 2007, I received a master’s degree from Cornell University, where I studied city planning with a focus on community development and affordable housing. I now am a mother of young twins, work in the field of housing, and continually maintain a laundry list of side projects.
